Miss Lesotho, Karabelo Mokoalla was crowned Miss Humanity International 2011

    Lesotho wins first Miss Humanity International title



    Miss Humanity International 2011, an international contest that focuses on humanitarian causes worldwide, concluded with the victory of Miss Lesotho, Karabelo Mokoalla, 24, and a former Miss World candidate.

    The 1st runner-up was Earlene Labassiere, Miss Dominica, while the 2nd runner-up was Miss Philippines, Czarina Gatbonton.

    Misses South Africa and Canada completed the top 5.

    First Runner up: Miss Dominica.
    Second Runner up: Miss Philippines.
    Third Runner Up: Miss South Africa.
    Fourth Runner up: Miss Canada.

    Miss Congeniality: Barbados.
    Miss Photogenic: Miss Canada.
    Best Swimwear: Miss Portugal.
    Best Gown: Miss Portugal.
    Best Talent: Miss Philippines.
    People’s Choice: Miss Dominica.
    Continental Queens: Miss Lesotho, Miss Portugal, Miss Philippines, Miss Dominica and Miss Canada.

    Fifteen candidates participated and it was held in Bridgetown, Barbados. It was the pageant’s 1st edition.

    Karabelo Mokoalla was crowned Miss Humanity International 2011, the first edition of the Pageant. Karabelo Mokoalla, 24, is a beauty queen who represent Lesotho in Miss World Pageant. Natashe Pretorius, Miss South Africa, was the first runner-up. Czarina Gatbonton, Miss Philippines, was the second runner-up.
    The first edition of Miss Humanity International was held in in Bridgetown, Barbados with the participation of 15 candidates.

    Miss Humanity International was founded by Stephanie Yates – Miss Barbados World 2001, Miss World Best Talent winner 2001, former Miss World franchise Holder 2004-2010 whose passion for greater HIV and AIDS awareness and human rights advocacy led her to conceptualize an event using pageantry to educate as the medium, which can bring about change.

Miss Humanity International was founded by Stephanie Yates – Miss Barbados World 2001, Miss World Best Talent winner 2001, former Miss World franchise Holder 2004-2010 whose passion for greater HIV and AIDS awareness and human rights advocacy led her to conceptualize an event using pageantry to educate as the medium, which can bring about change.

    ABOUT MHI

    Miss Humanity International is an innovative pageant with headquarters in Bridgetown, Barbados. Its sole objective is to promote and raise awareness about humanitarian causes worldwide. The pageant is open to young ladies ages 16-27 who have a strong passion for community & humanitarian service. We desire delegates to support charities that work to advocate against child labour, HIV/AIDS Discrimination, domestic abuse, genocide, sexual exploitation, human trafficking, hunger, lack of access to pure drinking water or discrimination, poverty. All national representatives are expected to engage in social activities with businesses and governments to benefit all of humankind through charitable causes.

    The Miss Humanity International pageant is by far, the most extensive pageantry effort in promoting the host nation’s tourism industry. Hosting it in Barbados enables the country to reveal to the world its many beautiful facets, from the bustling cities, the idyllic towns to the sun-kissed beaches. With the country’s unique melting pot of cultures, memories of Barbados would linger the longest in the contestants’ minds.

    The contest also serves as a platform to educate and promote tourism and cultural exchange among the participating beauty queens, the Miss Humanity International is the proverbial vehicle; capturing the essence of the host country and its way of life through the eyes of these beauties.
