BET on Black!

Hello ConstantBlogReader! Long time, long time I know, as normal I shall blame life. What the hell gotta blame someone. Sooooooooo up above Unckle Ruck...I mean Bob Johnson, the nations first Black billionaire and founder of BET (that's Black Entertainment Television, or in my opinion, Black Exploitation Television *I mean for MyGod's sake, College Hill anyone??* ) decided to back Hills in her quest for Presidency. Now let me state my stance on these politics. I love the fact that a Black man and a woman are running for POTUS,*President Of The United States-and you should have known what that meant dammit* being a Black woman it does my heart good to see such wonders. So the issue at hand is Clinton's quote in regards to then President Lyndon B. Johnson's signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. To put it in a nutshell Clinton basically said that Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream was only realized due to LBJ signing the aforementioned Civil Rights Act. Here is the actual quote: Hillary Clinton: "Dr. King's dream began to be realised when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act, it took a president to get it done". This comment has sparked some national Black leaders anger, saying that it downplays MLK Jr.'s leadership and actions in the civil rights movement. Um....Hillary, you get THIS for that comment . A fool could see that logically it took the President's signature on a piece of paper entitled Civil Rights Act of 1964, simply because after all that's what it takes to pass it, his signature. HOWEVER *clears throat* LBJ did not I repeat DID NOT, get beaten, hosed, attacked, racially discriminated against at a damn water fountain of all places, get arrested for sitting on the bus, get murdered for SUPPOSEDLY whistling at a white woman, and chased by angry mobs simply because one wanted to get an education. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was first brought into the light during the presidency of John F. Kennedy. When JFK was assassinated LBJ, then Vice President found himself, in charge. Let us remember that LBJ did not really try his hardest to implement the Civil Rights Act of 1957 that focused on voters rights. Southern senators STRONGLY opposed this Act and LBJ, who had presidential ambitions, was not going to rile those guys emotions over some Negroes in a voting booth. In the wake of JFK's assassination, LBJ felt obligated to continue with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Lets get this straight Senator Clinton, he didn't volunteer, nor create, nor fought for this Act. I believe 100% that the voice of MLK Jr and the actions of countless Blacks across the country is what pushed Kennedy (a long time civil rights supporter) into seeking the fruition of this Act. Hillary? Was all that Strange Fruit for nothing!! , since it took a President to do that? BoooooHillsBooooo.

The point of my rant/blog/commentary is Bob Johnson *how does he SLEEP at night??* and his decision to allude *(D)* to Barack Obama's admission of smoking marijuana, drinking and sometime light cocaine use during his younger years. (My use of LIGHT doesn't mean I condone, but I don't think he was selling ass for nose-candy) Obama admits to these discretion's in his book of memoirs, Dreams From My Father, which I read and found VERY interesting. In the video above around the 1:32 mark, Bob turns into Uncle Ruckus's self hating ass. Here is the actual quote for those of you who can't YouTube at work. Bob Johnson: "To me, as an African American, I am frankly insulted the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues — when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood; I won't say what he was doing, but he said it in his book — when they have been involved," It angers me to see this!! Why Bob are you selling that man out like that!!! Now Bob can back whoever he wants politically. I am, by no means saying that he is supposed to be Team Obama just because they have melanin in common. But damn. Why sell that man out like that?? The real question should be: Do Hillary and her handlers think that we have forgotten about Bill's Puff Puff but don't inhale days? Is the implication that we should judge Obama's moral character on his smoking L's, tossing back some Crown Royal on ice, and doing a few lines when he was but a young impressionable thing? Well hell, I am still judging Hillary's husband for getting head under the Oval office desk by the chunky broad that worked for him.

Yeah Hillary and Bob, I haven't forgotten. That's not to say that a liar and a cheater can't be a good POTUS, I kind of think you have to have those qualities to be successful in that job, why? Hey your swimming with sharks, so you have to know how to interact with them so as to not get bitten. But Hillary should not forget, that WE don't forget. For all of you who want to give me the old "Hillary stood by her man, so she is a good woman" routine? Spare me. If she was your homegirl, sister, daughter, or cousin, you would have been like "Giiiiiiiiiirl leave his triflin' ass alone" and "He ain't shit" and ya'll would've been ready to go ride on Monica's house, bustin' her windows out. Mmhmmm.....think I don't know. If drug use was reason for not electing someone to Presidency, well hold on to your hats white America because Bush liked his coke too, and surely liked to drive with more than a little scotch running through his veins. Bob Johnson in a statement later released by Clinton's camp, said that he was referring to Obama's community organizing work in Chicago, Bob: "and nothing else. Any other suggestion is simply irresponsible and incorrect," GTFOH, please again I say go to the 1:32 mark and watch the FORCE in which Bob says it, and he says it in that "Ya'll know what I am talkin'bout, he rolling Grape Dutchies with Tariq and Lil Raheem n'em on the block." kinda way. That was some BULL ASS SHIT. Bob Johnson whould REALLY STFU, seriously. The sad part in all of this is the Bob Johnson's words do not surprise as this is the man who infuses the Black community with television programming that is Coonvision at best! He is part of the "The New Smart Set" of Negroes who think power and money makes their cooning invisible to the likes of us "field Negroes". These types also believe that we will choose all things Black just because they are well.....Black. What are we idiots? I don't want any ANY (ya hear me?) coontastical, magical Negro reppin' me nor my ilk. BET is not for us by us, it is for $$$$$$ and that only. B.E.T. is in essence Black-on-Black crime. Does Bob Johnson think that African-Americans are so stupid we don't need news shows? Lest we forget Bob gave the okay to cut the nightly news programming from B.E.T.'s line-up. Instead news is offered to us in "snippets" between shows, and not that often. Thanks Bob, because our Black asses don't need to know what is going on all across the world, let alone our own country, right?

I don't think anyone should vote for Obama simply because he is Brown, vote for him because you believe in what he stands for. If you believe in Hillary's stance vote for her and if you are seriously considering voting for one of the Republicans *(D)* then, hey do your thing. In essence, I feel that Bob Johnson could really have offered his support to Clinton's campaign without his obvious implied poking of Obama. Note to Bob: you just got used as a pawn (see:TOKEN) in the underhandedness that is politics. Nice Job Nigra, now Massa say help Juno 'n'em wit' de hosses an' then get yo ass back to the field, is some hoeing an' choppin' need to be done!!

I leave you with this.....take heed:
