Schooling the babies......
So normally I won't respond all extra-extra to a commenter here, because I am a FIRM believer in folks having their own opinions and stating them. My problem is, I really need you to state said opinion coherently, with somewhat correct spelling and grammar, and some facts to back you up, or AT THE VERY LEAST, a strong argument. Well, Alexis SaMone has taken me there a tad bit, so hell, ya'll know me, I'm putting her on blast. Now, I realize, Constant BlogReader, that this is but a child writing, but as you also know Ninja is all about educating the babies. So I have decided to do 3 things here:
1. Ask you to forgive me for making you read this badly worded, spelled and grammatically and mechanically challenged childs words
2. School her because clearly she needs it
3. Allow you to help in her education because I know you will
So read her comment from my previous blog, I will post here, I started to correct her essay with my red pen, but after the 43rd mistake my eyes started crossing and I just couldn't do it. however, she gets an F, for the content, the mechanics, the lack of a point, well yeah pretty much everything.(How do I grade one's opinion you may ask......please....just read it)

CLASS WILL NOW BEGIN:
Okay Alexis a few things we must address, sweetie if you are going to write shxt in an effort to be respectful, by not writing shit, well if I know you mean shit, that really just cancels out the respect factor. Also I must let you know immediately that if you wish others to read, appreciate, and ponder over your opinion you must write it in a way that they (the adults that read my blog can understand it) Most of the people that read my blog, may understand ebonics, however most don't wish to read it. Your words would be a tad bit more valid if words were spelled correctly and if there was even just a small amount of punctuation, besides ... . I'm not picking out your typos, hell, we all have those, but yours aren't typos, my dear, they are a perfect example of the downfalls of cutting English class. That aside, understand that this is my blog, I will write what I please here. It's not hate. My own Ninja Jr and friends rocked out to Soulja Boy at her Sweet 16, and I didn't hate. My issue here is the lyrical content. I thought it was cute watching all those kids do that dance, I did not think it was cute watching the boys scream out about supermannin' hoes, and all the girls loving it. Now, if you, your sister, and your 2 cousins, don't mind this label, so be it. That is your choice. Unfortunately, I think it is a bad choice. Why would you as (presumed to be) Black young women want to refer to yourself as hoes.

I do however, 100% agree with one statement you made and that is that music changes with each generation, yes, it does. Unfortunately said generation is getting dumber by the minute. Your music is dumbing down FOR YOU. As if you couldn't understand anything beyond, "YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU watch me crank dat....", come on now!!! How can you argue that those lyrics are nonsensical at best. Dr. Suess rhymes better than that. Horton at least heard a Who and not a Hoe. The fact that you will put up with and glorify lyrics like these, is a testament to that fact. My daughter won't be saying the her Mommy is a hater, she will be saying my Mommy is smart, and has vast knowledge of music which I respect. Ease back, child, your own mother should be weeping at your writing skills. Honey, the fact that you even brought up Sanjaya is making me wonder if this whole comment is not just someone trying to make me laugh. This whole sentence: "and R&B rocksz...Ne-Yo is great as is rihanna and ying yang twins and lil jon and usher and fat man scoop and missy elliot and 50cent and ciara and bowwow and arab and pretty rick and so on.." lets me know right off the bat you are but a child, which is why I am being gentle with you Babygirl. Darling, do you know what Sankofa means? I doubt it, so let me help you; Sankofa is transliterated in the Akan language as "se wo were fi na wosan kofa a yenki." Literally translated it means "it is not taboo to go back and fetch what you forgot" or "We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward; so we understand why and how we came to be who we are today" so basically just by posting those definitions, I have knocked this sentence completely out the box; "P.S. the 90s and 80s and 70s and 60s and 50s and 40s and 400b.c. for sum of ya'll siz over itsz a new generation where we wanna hear sumthin real not no damn earth wind and fire or isley brothers--michael jackson isz okay tho-- get wit da program taht shxt aint coming back and wasting yo time hating on one individual after another aint go make it come back..." This is the problem with you children today, learn from the past, LEARN I say, not just listen, respect your elders, and bask in the wisdom they bestow upon you. Trust me I was a rebel growing up, but I at least tried to back up my beliefs with fact, and know when to STFU and learn from those around me! Rihanna is mediocre at best, and yes that is my opinion, to compare her to Chrisette Michelle is......well.....wrong. Yet it doesn't surprise me, the problem with your generation is that hot beats, lots of make-up, fancy coverings, and great P.R. is all it takes to impress you. Chrisette need not try harder because her voice makes the statement for her, not her breasts hanging out, or her ass shaking all over the place. If you were to have a....let's say a sing-off between her and Pon de Forehead, there is no contest! (My opinion of course, but I am going to go ahead and lay all the rent money down on Chrisette) The Lord sent me a message and told me to suffer the little children....so I shall. Many of you are probably wondering why I am addressing this poor misguided teen, or 'tween, or child, but honestly because it just makes me sad. A few years ago Professor Jedi and I taught a class together that he created, entitled Beats, Rhymes, & Life....where we discussed and dissected hip-hop lyrics. I was TAKEN by the amount of children who could recite the rhymes but never bothered to put any thought into, which is why we have folks running around screaming about supersoakin hoes.....I would have to say my worst memory of this class was the day we played Jill Scott live with The Roots for them and they were like "Ilk Ms. Ninja this lady cannot sing." LAWD!!!!!!!!!!!! Ms. Ninja almost fainted, Professor Jedi had to stop me from foaming at the mouth!!!
So regardless Alexis, I forgive you, and I hope you learned a little something here today.. Free your mind and the rest will follow. I really wanted to get into the R&B thing a little more, however, how convenient is it that Professor Sister Toldja is currently teaching "Who killed R&B" down the hall in room 777. Let me write you a pass, Alexis, I think there is room in the lecture hall for your sister, and your 2 cousins, also. (Is your sister's name Clarissa by any chance, you write just like someone I know with that name....) *Smile that was just for the Crunksters*
Things for the babies to do in 2008:

2. Turn the radio off
3. Read a book, preferably non-nigglature
4. Stop spelling LiKe ThIs b3CaUs3 it's really stupid and annoying. So is dis and dat and sum and jusz and get this: a z is not an s.
